
Andy Choi
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Choi has over 20 years of experience in product development and commercialization with expertise in the medical device industry. He has held executive positions ranging from engineering to marketing and sales in start-up settings to Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to co-founding Amplify Surgical, Mr. Choi was the Chief Business Development Officer at CTL and the VP of R&D at Ellipse Technologies and VertiFlex. While at VertiFlex, he introduced a pioneering minimally-invasive technology, enabling interventional physicians to surgically treat lumbar spinal stenosis. He also led the development and the asset sale of a spinal fusion system to Stryker, achieving a 10x return in less than a year from concept to commercialization. For almost 10 years, Mr. Choi also held leadership positions in both marketing and engineering with Stryker Spine and Orthopedics.
Mr. Choi earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and received his MBA from Rutgers University. He also completed executive education program from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jeffrey Roh, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Roh has over fifteen years of experience as an inventor, angel investor, and serial entrepreneur and holds multiple patents through the USPTO. He is a Co-Founder of IntuitiveX, a Seattle-based life science incubator.
He currently serves as a consultant on Stryker corporation’s Surgical Design and Innovation team and was instrumental in the development of their most commercially successful minimally invasive spine system of all time, ES2, as well as their marquee lateral access platform, ARIA.
Dr. Roh currently serves as the Director of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at the Swedish Neuroscience Institute, is the Chair of the Seattle Science Foundation’s annual Minimally Invasive Spine Symposium, and serves as a consultant on Providence Venture’s Strategy & Innovation team.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University and his spine surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC. He is a graduate of the Michael G. Foster School of Business MBA program at the University of Washington and received a Master of Science in Technology Management at Columbia University in NYC.

David Sohn
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sohn has over 20 years of experience in finance focused on budgeting, forecasting, M&A, financial systems and process improvement. In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, he is the Chief Compliance Officer and head of HR for Amplify Surgical.
Prior to joining Amplify Surgical, Mr. Sohn was Sr. Director of Finance at TTM Technologies a leading global PCB manufacturer. During his thirteen year tenure at TTM he assisted the company through four major acquisitions growing revenue from $300M to $3B. Prior to TTM, Mr. Sohn spent ten years at Boeing in various positions of increasing responsibility.
He earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University and received his M.B.A. from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.

Clark Hutton
Sr. Director of Operations And Quality
Mr. Hutton has over 16 years of experience in the medical device industry with expertise in orthopedic start-ups. He has held roles with increasing responsibilities in biomedical engineering, R&D and quality management.
Prior to Amplify Surgical, Mr. Hutton was the Director of Engineering at B-ONE Ortho corp., Next Orthosurgical, and Senior Manager at Alphatec Spine, where he developed their most commercially successful spine platform of all time, Illico – MIS posterior fixation system.
Mr. Hutton earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University and holds over 25 U.S. and World Patents.
