Unique Interbody Solutions for Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery
dualX®Slim transforms the fusion environment from insertion to spinal restoration by delivering a powerful dual-expanding implant through a minimally-invasive or endoscopic approaches. dualX®Slim has one of the smallest insertion profiles in the market while still expanding in both horizontal and vertical directions to provide an ALIF-sized final geometry with higher degrees of lordosis (8°, 12°, 15°, 18°*) through the patented trueLordosis™ technology.
Engineered for Spinal Fusion
Collapsed width designed to reduce neural retraction
Low profile protects endplates during insertion
10 mm Insertion Width
Minimize subsidence with the largest footprint in the expandable cage market
Lateral expansion establishes stable footprint Large, center bone graft chamber for post-expansion grafting
20 mm Fully Expanded Width
Powerful vertical expansion restores disc height for decompression
Vertical expansion assists in direct and indirect decompression Multiple lordotic angles restore sagittal balance
8°, 12°, 15°, 18°*

The Holy Grail of an expandable implant is an implant that goes goes in a very small aperture, but you can build to fill the majority of the surface area of the endplate. I think that's where the dualX®Slim implant really stands out.
Mechanically, it's a great construct. The other major advantage dualX®Slim implant has is the post expansion fill. The expansion—which is the footprint—is biomechanically stable. I have no doubt that it's a more stable construct compared to a much smaller device that is not point loading or edge loading the end plates. And then the fact that you can really put quite a bit of graft in the disk space that you know surrounds the entire cage is—from a technical standpoint—really a major advantage in my opinion.
I was really blown away by the ability to do that complete decompression and do a fusion through a tiny incision, and I saw a big difference in my patients.
Over the last three-to-four years, I've really transitioned the vast majority of my interbody cases to an MIS TLIF approach using dualX® implants, and I've been very pleased with the outcomes—both radiographically and clinically.
When you get the dualX® cage in your hand, you can see it work… You can see it in your patient doing what it's supposed to do… and you achieve the lordosis that you're supposed to achieve… and on top of that, your footprint is really large. In my mind, it is the single best cage that expands—not just in the medial-lateral footprint but also in cranial codal height and lordosis—and I think it's unmatched in the market.
Now, the dualX® and the slim cage have really changed how I treat L4-5. Compared to the laterals, I can put in a cage that nearly matches the lateral size. Also, it nearly matches the ALIF cages when I use a dualX® for the TLIF.
While there are many expandable implants on the market, you know dualX® really has the ability to expand bidirectionally. (This) is really what makes it different, in addition to the implant's overall size…
The way it expands, the way it restores the alignment. The way it is locked in. The way it is inserted. Everything from the incision to the insertion to the closure—everything is designed very, very thoughtfully. So I'm very excited about this cage.

I think there really isn't another expandable implant on the market that has this complete set of features. There are other implants that are close, but really not at this scale and size.
I've been fortunate in my experience, particularly with dualX®. The process is very straightforward. The implant will come to you fully assembled and ready to go on a very easy-to-use inserter—that's also powerful for both directing and expanding the implant.
